Carl Dwayne Keesee

Carl Dwayne Keesee was born on December 12, 1943, in Wanette, Oklahoma, to Edward Carl Keesee and Nettie Pearl (Lamirand) Keesee. He grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1962. Carl married the love of his life, Linda (Blevins) Keesee, on December 21, 2001, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family. Throughout his life, Carl was known for his strong work ethic. He worked for Shebester’s Well Service, Capital Well Service, Jimmy Chatham Dozers, Kent Truck Stop (where many knew him as the “Tire Guy”), and Pauls Valley State School, from which he later retired. He was a dedicated and dependable worker who took pride in everything he did. Carl was a faithful member of Love Baptist Church for several years. His faith was an important part of his life, and he carried it with him in the way he treated others — with kindness, patience, and warmth. He had many hobbies that brought him joy, including fishing, gardening, watching westerns, and spending time at the lake. He loved camping, skiing, boating, and especially spending time with his family. Some of his fondest memories were going fishing with his mom and dad. Carl truly enjoyed people — he loved everyone, and everyone who met him felt that genuine spirit. He was known for being very patient and outgoing, always ready with a smile or a story. He loved music, especially Cher and “Red Red Wine” by UB40. Carl lived by a simple but meaningful lesson: “You never know until you find out,” a saying he often shared and taught to others. Carl’s greatest joy in life was his family and the many friendships he formed along the way. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew him. Carl is survived by his wife, Linda Keesee of the home; Sons, Shannon Keesee of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Quint Keesee of Elmore City, Oklahoma; Daughters, Lora Grinstead of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Angie Sawyer and husband Allen of Big Cabin, Oklahoma, Shanna Norris and partner Trent Bird of Westville, Oklahoma, Sarah Norris of Big Cabin, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Keesee, Natalie and Nikkie Keesee, Gregory and Samantha Keesee, Colby, Jonathaon, and Brooklyn Harrison, Kayla and Nathan Norris, Trenton and Halle Bird, Nicolas McClain, Grayson Sawyer; five great-grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nettie Keesee, and sister, Barbara Dodds and husband Doyle. Services for Carl will be on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Fairoak Church in Elmore City, Oklahoma with A.C. Ezzell Jr. officiating. Visitation for Carl will be on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Wooster Funeral Home in Elmore City, Oklahoma.
