Wilma J. Smith

Wilma Joyce Anderson Privett Smith Born to Bob and Rosa Anderson on July 24, 1932 and passed from this life in Sulphur, OK on July 6, 2023 at the age of 90. Wilma lived in Texas for several years but spent most of her life in Oklahoma - most recently in Kingston, OK. Wilma was a long-time member of the Church of Christ and loved camping and fishing with family, quilting, baking, and listening to old country music. She had a variety of jobs during her life to include the State School of Oklahoma and Garvin County Sherrif’s office. She also co-owned and operated Jacks Pest Control and Wilma’s Café in Davis, OK. Proceeded in death by husband, Stanley L. Privett; parents Bob and Rosa Anderson; sisters Marie Oller and husband John, Edwina Bristol and husband Ed, Norma Temple, and Beth Frizell and husband Bob; brothers Robert Daulton Anderson, David Anderson, Don Anderson, Clois Anderson and wife Linda; brother-in-law Jerry Durham, 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Survived by husband Jack Smith of the home, son Robert Privett and wife Cheryl of Augusta, KS; daughters Celina Chambers of Sulphur, and Vickie Foster of Blanchard; sister Rebecca Bass and husband Lindel of Oklahoma City, and brother Larry Anderson and wife Libby of Pernell, OK; Grandsons Shaun Chambers and wife Marika of Edmond, OK; Phillip Foster and wife Angela of Blanchard, OK, Robbie Privett and wife Leah of Augusta, KS, Randal Fuller and wife Rhiannon of Newton, KS, DeWayne Fuller of Benton, KS, and Daniel Fuller of Platt City, MO, and Grandaughter Lisa Clapp and husband Colby of Winnsboro, TX and 18 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Wilma spent the last year of her life living at the Artesian Nursing Center in Sulphur, OK where she acquired many other extended family members. She loved her caregivers and called them “her girls”. She left this earth surrounded by love and will be missed by many. Services will be Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
