Janice Karen Fisher

Janice Karen Fisher was born on October 2nd, 1950 in Tecumseh, OK and entered into eternal life on August 29, 2010. On Sept 6th, 1979 she married Jerry Ralph Fisher in Pauls Valley, OK. They had four children together: Julie Ann Turner, Stephanie Diane Peck, Jeffrey Fisher, and Cynthia Joy Stewart. Janice worked as a “professional” restaurant waitress in the Garvin County area. Anyone fortunate enough to be seated in her work station at a restaurant was forever spoiled due to her expert service. Janice made many lasting friends out of her customers. She strived to have the “cleanest house in Oklahoma”. She always tried to fix everyone’s problems by making everything right. Janice wanted to be sure that her children were okay in life and that her grandchildren were safe. She raised her grandchildren Sammy Jo and Cole in her home. Some of her hobbies included going to the lake, spending time with family and watching her children and grandchildren grow up. She especially enjoyed vacations. Janice took pride in doing things right, and working hard. The most important things she taught others about life were to be honest and trustworthy, to be dependable, to work for what you have, to love each other and to be happy with who you are. Janice hoped that she brought love, laughter and happiness to everyone she met, and she did. Her twinkling green eyes and loving smile will long be remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by: Her husband: Jerry Ralph Fisher Son: Jeffrey Glenn Fisher and his wife Senia and their daughter Leah 3 daughters and their families: daughter Julie Ann Turner and her husband, David and their children; Sammy Jo Turner, Bethany Turner, Brandon Turner and Bradley Turner ; daughter Stephanie Diane Peck and her husband David and their children; Cole Stewart, Mariah Peck and Macy Karen Diane Peck (named after Janice) ; and daughter Cynthia Joy Stewart and her husband, Marvin and their children; Taylor Stewart, Dillion Stewart, Dakota Stewart, and Brittnee Stewart 2 Great-Grandchildren: Cole’s son Jacen Stewart and Sammy’s son A. J. Lewis 5 Brothers: Carry Jr. Corbin, Alton Corbin, Larry Matthews, Allen Matthews, and Jerry Matthews 5 Sisters: Barbara Winburn, Laverna “Biggin” Kraicek, Bonnie Hitchcock, Mary Francis Reid, and Alice Matthews Janice is preceded in death by her parents: Mary Francis (Pierce) Matthews and Vernon Samuel Corbin; her sister Nell Louise Townsend; and her brother Larry Harwell Corbin Memorial services for Janice Karen Fisher are scheduled for Saturday, September 4th at 2:00 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrel “Bo” Gibbs officiating.
