Name: Barbara Ann Harris Luster Date: February 28th, 1941 - March 11th, 2010 Obituary: Barbara Ann Luster of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma formerly of Elmore City was born to Thomas R. (Buster) and Zina R. Harris on February 28, 1941 in Garvin County, Oklahoma and passed from this life on March 11, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years. Barbara was raised in the Satterwhite Community. She attended school at Satterwhite, Capitol Hill and graduated from Pernell High School. She then attended business school and became a key punch operator. Barbara married Don Luster and together they made their home in Chicago, Illinois. Barbara later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico before returning to the family farm southwest of Elmore City, Oklahoma in 1970. In 1979 Barbara moved into Elmore City. She went to work for the Harman gang and also worked in home health care. In her spare time she enjoyed O.U. sports and loved to read. Barbara lovingly and faithfully cared for her mother for many years until her mother’s death on June 26, 2001. In May of 1954, Barbara was saved and baptized at the Satterwhite Missionary Baptist Church. She always had a smile and a pleasant personality. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Ms. Luster is survived by: 1 daughter: Terri Luster of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 8 sisters: Jane Cassell of Allen, Louella Byrum of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Tawanna Pinks of Warren, Michigan; Kathy Rhue of Moore, Oklahoma; Patsy Sue Harris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Sharon MacKelvie of Canyon Country, California; Linda Small of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Connie Whisler of Garland, Texas 1 brother: Sonny Harris of Elmore City, Oklahoma Ms. Luster was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Zina Harris; 2 brothers, Tom Harris and Roger Harris; and 1 sister, Nova Frizzell. Funeral services for Ms. Luster are scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Satterwhite Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Henthorn and Rev. Allen Carroll officiating.
