Southhaven Crematorium provides cremation services for a number of funeral homes in Oklahoma, including Wooster Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Pauls Valley and Elmore City, Oklahoma.

Cremation is intended to be an alternative to entombment or earth burial. Cremation allows you great flexibility in your choices of merchandise and services and disposition of the remains.

Cremation with Traditional Funeral

This allows the option of the traditional funeral service or Mass of Christian Burial, with the cremation following. A casket may be rented or purchased for viewing before or during the service or Mass. This gives family and friends the opportunity view the deceased during visitation and often helps them in their grieving process. This service can be personalized in many ways by the family with the display of photographs and memorabilia.

Cremation with Memorial Service

A memorial service is held after the cremation takes place. An urn is usually required if the cremains are to be present at the service. Like the funeral service, the memorial service may be designed to reflect the uniqueness of the deceased and wishes of the family.

Direct Cremation

Families may choose not to have any service. Therefore they may choose direct cremation. A Funeral Director at your funeral home will complete all the necessary paperwork for cremation and the cremains are returned to family members.

May the family witness the Cremation? Yes, Southhaven's facilities include a family gathering or witnessing room. A family member may even start the cremation process itself. Please notify your funeral home in advance for this option.
